I'm sorry, readers. I'll be back posting here sometime soon, but I can't say exactly when.

Not Dead (Yet)

Sup peoples.  The blog hasn't been updated in a while and for that I apologize.  I've been kinda busy on the real-life front.

Updates should be coming in regularly later on this week, I promise.

Slug and Eyedea: Wake-Up Show

Here's an old video for you guys; Slug and Eyedea on Sway & Tech's Wake Up Show, circa, umm, a while ago.

Anyway, it's fucking fresh. Eyedea freestyles effortlessly for quite a while and Slug comes in a bit later. Was there not some friendly competition going on there? Check it out below.

Brother Ali: Explode The Vote

Brother Ali is throwing a show in Minneapolis, Minnesota tomorrow (holy shit I'm late) in support of Keith Ellison's re-election into congress. According to the Big Brother, Mr. Ellison is real dude, which is a rarity in politics nowadays. So if you haven't done so before and live in Minnesota, give this dude a look and cast a vote.

Like Brother Ali said, "DON'T FUCK AROUND!" Please people, go vote, for something--you don't need to be another negative statistic.

Blueprint Interview

Blueprint, one of my favorite RSE artists, has a new interview up over at Impose Magazine. Over there 'Print speaks on his new album, Adventures in Counter-Culture which is due out on Rhymesayers next year, the Ohio scene, and he even gives you cats some relationship advice and we all know that Blueprint is the best that--remember "Big Girls Need Love Too" from 1988? Alright then.

Check out the interview. Also: 'Print is on tour with Atmosphere and Abstract Rude right now! Go cop that ticket for a town near you!

(Shoutout to Nolan for the link to the interview)

Jake One's "Truth Is" Video Previews

Jake One's new album is getting a lot of buzz in both the streets and underground scene. It's beautiful that Rhymesayers is putting out an album of this caliber.

Brother Ali and Freeway on the same track!? HERESY!

Anyway, the first single from Jake One's White Van Music is "Truth Is" which features the two aforementioned rappers and is getting a video shot by the one and only Rik Cordero. If you've seen Mr. Cordero's work before, you know that he has a unique visual style that sets his videos apart from the rest of the pack, which is perfect to be the first video shot for such a unique album.

Here are the previews for the video. The first one was released a while ago, but the second one with Freeway was just put out today. Check it out.

P.O.S. Making Music

Well now, seems like P.O.S. was featured on UoM's Making Music series too! Rhymesayers' YouTube Channel has the videos up, but I'll post 'em here to make it easier on you cats.
